St Anne's

St Anne’s Hall is a lovely little venue for a small children’s birthday party. It is the perfect party venue for a small birthday party of 15 - 20 children and their parents.
This hall is one of the smallest venue’s I have worked in. The building is clean and well equipped and is used for other community activities and classes.
This venue is suited to host a children’s entertainer with a smaller setup should you consider booking a professional kids entertainer for your child’s party.

Parking and access

Parking is an issue at St Anne’s Hall. Located in a one way street in a residential area, there is only on street parking available, making it a bit of a struggle to find parking close to the venue.
It is possible to park one or two cars in the Church ground where the venue is situated, making loading and unloading easier.
St Anne’s Hall is easy to access once you are in the church grounds with no steps leading into the venue itself. Parents with little children in buggies will have no problem accessing the venue.

Suitability as a child’s birthday party venue

PARKING

There is plenty of parking at this venue as it is joined with Grappenhall community centre. Parking spaces are available close to the entrance of the Bellhouse Bar so you don't have too far to walk if you have large amounts of food or decorations to carry. There are also Disabled spaces available on site too. The car park is safe and far from any main roads, so your guests can walk in and out without too much concern.

ACCESS

Access into the building is not a problem, there are double doors making it easier to carry in any large packages or pushing any prams through and there are also no stairs to compete with.

SUITABILITY

This venue was really lovely. I performed to 35 children here and I'd say that was about the right amount for this space. The acoustics were perfect, meaning that I didn't need to have my microphone or music too loud to create an atmosphere. The tables used for the food were modern, well kept and easy to assemble. Also, there were plenty of them, so we weren't short on seating arrangements. The kitchen facilities were large and well kept, I believe I saw a large fridge/freezer, a gas oven complete with hobs and I'm pretty sure I saw a microwave in there too. The hall also came with a small bar area which was away from the party zone, it wasn't open at this particular party, but it was 10 o'clock in the morning!

CONCLUSION

I'd say that this venue is absolutely perfect for any childs birthday party. The space was fantastic, the area is lovely, the amneties were modern and well kept and I would be delighted to return to this venue any time.

Magic4Children st mary

The St Mary’s Church Hall is a lovely venue for a children’s birthday party. The hall is more than big enough to host a birthday party with 30 - 35 children and their parents attending and works very well should you choose to have a children’s birthday party entertainer at your child’s party.

Parking

Parking is a bit limited with a few spaces in the street in front of the venue available. There is a bus stop situated right on the doorstep and might be worth mentioning to your guests if they wanted to use public transport rather than drive to our party.

ACCESS

The access to the hall is totally accessible with a ramp leading up to the entrance. There are no steps to enter St Mary’s Church Hall, Cressington. This makes it easy for you to access with your party food and decorations. Parents with buggies will have no problem getting into the hall.

SUITABILITY AS A KID'S PARTY VENUE

I believe that there are two hall’s available for hire at the St Mary’s Church Hall in Cressington.

I did children’s entertainment at a 5th birthday party in the bigger of the two halls and it is a great hall for a kid’s birthday party. Admittedly, It is a little bit on the big side. It has a rather high ceiling and wooden floor. These features leads to the party being a little bit on the noisey side, but not deafening. Dividing the room with a row of chairs to define the ‘party space’ makes it easier to manage the children and ensure a great children’s birthday party.

The big hall has a stage that I recommend keeping out of bounds and the curtains shut to prevent children going on the stage as it is very high and they could get hurt should they fall off.

There are loads of tables and chairs to allow to seat of the children around the tables for their party food and their parents to sit down during the party.

The toilets are clean and easily accessible.

The church’s website mentions that there is a kitchen to use, but I didn’t get to see it personally.

Overall, The St Mary’s Church Hall is a lovely venue for a kid’s party and has everything you need for a great, memorable day.

PARKING

As the church hall is located in the centre of town, behind the co-op supermarket there is plenty of parking space and what's more, it's free! There were also plenty of disabled parking spaces right outside the entrance to the venue.

ACCESS

The Church Hall had easy access, there was a ramp available for disabled and elderly people and the there were hooks for the double doors, so loading and unloading all of my equipment was easy. The party space is on the ground floor also, so there aren't any stairs for you to carry all of your party food and decorations up and down.

SUITABILITY AS A KID'S PARTY VENUE

This was a perfect space for a kids party. The room isn't too big so the accoustics are great, the sound wasn't bouncing all over the place and the kids were able to hear my instructions clearly over the music. Also, parents were able to chat without it being disruptive to the show. There were 36 children plus all their parents when I performed at St Luke's church Hall and there was still room for more. There were plenty of tables and chairs available and the facilities were immaculate.

There was a lovely, modern kitchen, complete with kettle, fridge, freezer and gas oven and it was in the same room as the hall so even as the parents were preparing the food, they could still hear and watch all of their children having fun.

I performed at St Luke's on a very warm day in July, thankfully the parents brought some fans to provide some air conditioning, but other than that and having the windows open, there was no real draft coming in and the room got VERY warm. It wasn't an issue as such, but parents that are booking this space in the summer might want to provide plenty of water for the children and maybe even a fan or two as that room gets HOT.

CONCLUSION

I would strongly recommend using St Luke's Church Hall as a venue for your kids party. It was tucked away and it felt very friendly and safe. The amenities were modern and well kept and the space was perfect for a kids party of about 40.

PARKING

Despite this venue being a popular hotel, there were plenty of Parking spaces available. There is ample parking space both at the front and rear of the hotel, also, there was lots of security on site so you can leave your car with the added comfort that it will be safe. The only downfall is that Parking isn't free. For this particular party it was, however i suspect that was because the Father of the Birthday child was the General manager of the Hilton Hotel!

ACCESS

The doors into the hotel are automatic so loading and unloading of any gear is not a struggle. Also, as this is a hotel next to an airport there are lots of trolly's around to help you carry things in. The function room is located just past reception on the ground floor, so you don't have very far to travel and there are no stairs to climb. There is a reception area in the lobby too, so if you require any help or directions, staff are on hand to help.

SUITABILITY

This location was ideal for a kids party. The function room was very large, at this particular party there were 40 children, but it could have easily fit in more. The acoustics were perfect meaning that I didn't need to have my microphone turned up too loud for the children to hear me or to be heard over parents talking at the back. The kitchen was modern and clean and was right next to the party room and it also came with a team of caterers! This might not be something you want to pay extra for, but it's ideal if you really do want the COMPLETE stress free party experience. Freddie Fantastic provided the games and entertainment and the staff of the Hilton Hotel provided the food, drink and clearing up. The parents were looked after just as well as the kids!

CONCLUSION

This really is an ideal location for a party, the space and amneties are clean, well kept, modern and spacious but what really sets this place apart is the fact that the staff at the Hilton Hotel are there to help, making your stress free party that little bit more relaxing.
