With October Half Term looming fast, Magic 4 Kids have put together another of our popular half term guides for Cheshire and Manchester, to ensure you have a spookily good time with your children.
1. Fright Run
If your little one needs to burn off some energy this October Half Term then why not join in the Fright Run at Lyme Park, Disley. There is a run at 2pm on Friday 27th October perfect for young families and fancy dress is encouraged! Click here for full details.
2. Cook up a Storm
If your children are handy in the kitchen why not try one of these half term cookery workshops with Rachel Hine. Make Graveyard Brownies on Tuesday 24th October or Butternut and Apple Soup on Friday 27th October.
3. Science Fun
The Manchester Science Festival runs from 19th - 29th October. With events all across Manchester from robots to dinosaurs, there is bound to be something to keep all the family amused.
4. Outdoor Adventures
In Cheshire East there are many ranger events running over Half term. From Halloween Trails to Spooky Walks, Trips down the mine to arts and crafts, you'll get some fresh air and stimulation. The many events are listed here.
5. Down in the Woods
If you and your children would like some more hands on outdoor fun then why not try Wildplay in the Forest on Wednesday 25th October. You'll enjoy a morning of bushcraft skills, nature studies, outdoor play, games and exploring the woodlands.
6. Mask Making
If you need some inspiration for your child's Halloween costume, then why not join the Mask Making Workshop at The Old Sunday School in Macclesfield on Wednesday 25th October. It's a drop in session so you can just turn up and get creative.
Lego Club at Handforth Library falls during half term this month, so why not pop along and get building. Details here.
If going to the theatre is your thing, then take a look at the Big Imaginations Festival that is hitting the North West late October. From puppetry to jazz there is something for all ages and tastes and they have a family fun day on Saturday 21st October too.
9. Shop Til You Drop
If you need to hit the shops this half term then head to the Lowry Outlets at Salford Quays where you will find plenty to amuse the kids too. From a tunnel of ghosts to a trail of spooky book benches, there should be enough to keep the kids entertained while you snap up some bargains.
10. Ghost Train!
Why not take the ultimate Ghost Train ride at East Lancashire Railway this half term. Journeys take place on the 26th, 27th and 28th October and are graded by scare level! It looks like it will be a hoot!
