An online 30-minute Mindfulness and Well being session for your child
Here at Magic 4 Children we are doing all that we can to support you and your little ones during this difficult time. With each passing day there have been more and more challenges for us all to rise to and now that schools have been forced to close we recognise that life is going to become a lot busier for parents, children are going to need positive and engaging activities to take part in and now more than ever we all need to help each other. With society going into lockdown families across the UK are facing the same challenge and they are asking themselves; "What am I going to do with my children?" Don't worry parents, Magic 4 Children are here to help in any way we can!

What is The Magic of Mindfulness?
The Magic of Mindfulness is a new mindfulness and wellbeing programme that has recently been developed for and introduced to Key Stage 1 children in Primary Schools across the North West. Although the main programme is usually an hour long and delivered to classes of up to 30 children at a time we thought it would be helpful to offer an online condensed version of the programme to children across the country during the outbreak of COVID-19 and the consequences this virus brings. The programme is aimed at children aged between 5-7 years old and its 3 core elements are helping children to:
- Be More Kind to themselves and each other
- Calm down and Concentrate
- Develop their emotional intelligence

Online 30-minute Mindfulness session delivered live to your living room
As children will not be able to attend school or large social events for the next few weeks the 30-minute programme will be delivered to you and your child live via Zoom which is an easy to use live streaming webinar service (similar to Skype or FaceTime) Take some time for yourself to catch up on chores, do some work or just relax with a cup of tea whilst your child is engaged with Calming Breathing Exercises, Engaging Magic Tricks, Mindful Games and Exercises and Positive affirmations leaving your child feeling more positive and relaxed for the rest of the day.

The Magic of Mindfulness is the latest in a series of programmes that we offer to schools across the North West and whilst this epidemic takes a hold of our way of life, Magic 4 Children have felt it would be helpful and beneficial to adapt some of our school programmes and make them suitable and accessible for home viewing and participation.

Who delivers The Magic of Mindfulness to my child?
This programme is our way of helping you during this self isolation period, it requires zero outside contact and is delivered to you by our most experienced entertainer and Managing Director of Magic 4 Children, Craig Whittaker.
Craig has spent the last 5 years entertaining children aged between the ages of 4-8 years old at Magic 4 Children and when he isn't waving his wand as Freddie Fantastic and answering your calls at Magic 4 Children H.Q he liaises with a not-for-profit organisation called Talk the Talk and is out delivering confidence building workshops and positive/growth mindset workshops to students aged between 11-18 years old all across the country. It was through Craig's experience of working with these young adults that he felt it necessary to introduce Mindfulness to children as soon as possible. Mental Health is a real issue for children all over the world and it is during stressful times like these that we really need to make sure that our children are feeling safe, calm and happy.
What will take part in the 30-minute online session?
- Craig (aka "Freddie") will introduce himself to your child and quickly build a rapport with them by playing the "Getting to know you" game helping them to feel relaxed and engaged
- Your child will then take part in some interactive mindfulness games such as "Mirror, mirror", "Count the sounds", "Freddie says..." and "Mystery box"
- Freddie then engages your child with thought provoking Magic tricks. These tricks may be entertaining but their purpose is to educate your child and introduce them to the importance and benefit of being mindful. It is excellent education through excellent entertainment!
- Freddie then gives your child some easy to follow breathing techniques. These techniques are designed to help centre your child and they give your child ways to calm down and concentrate during busy times in their day.
- The session then comes to an end with some positive affirmations where Freddie gets a little bit of help from "Kris the Kindness Kid" this interactive puppet teaches your child the importance of being kind, not only to other people but also to themselves.

How do I take part in The Magic of Mindfulness?
This online programme is accessible to you 7 days a week between the hours of 9am-6pm, all you have to do is send an email to Craig at email@example.com or call him on 07708767898 to arrange a time and date that suits you, let him know who will be attending the online programme and how old they are and that's it. Craig will then send you an email confirming the date and time of your session with a link to your private Zoom meeting room, all you need to do then is click on the link when it is time for your child's session to start, sit back and relax whilst Freddie engages your child for 30-minutes and provides them with ways and methods of relaxing, calming down and concentrating and feeling amazing about themselves. You'll be amazed at how well the children respond to these Mindfulness techniques and what's more, you can even use these techniques yourself at any time of the day where you feel that your child needs help relaxing, calming down or simply feeling more positive about themselves.
